Project
Management

I have handled many projects during my time with Studio big. I was tasked with managing the everything to do with The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Trick-Taking Game. Detailed below are examples of how I planned and executed the marketing package for the game, events for the game, and the announcement and release (yet to come!).

Planning

I started by listing everything I could think of that I would need to make this a successful project. Copy needs, image needs, assets for the webpages and conventions, as well as needing ideas for the teaser trailer and for ads. I used task tracking software to set dates for our needs and dates for our posts, that way I would have a timeline laid out for the progress of the marketing needs. The timeline included benchmarks such as asset creation, internal review, licensor review, and go live dates.

Image Creation

For this project I was the only graphic designer assigned to the images as well, so all of the creation of our marketing image assets fell to me. We needed images for our announcements, engaging social content, assets for the actual game page for pre-ordering and purchases, as well as images for various ad campaigns one Meta, Board Game Geek, Amazon, and icv2. All in I created more than 75 pieces that adhered to the marketing guidelines provided by our licensor.

Copy writing

For this project I was also responsible for all of the copy writing. Using the plan and timeline I had laid out. I wrote announcement articles, press releases, website and ad copy and captions for all of our social media posts. These were reviewed internal by my marketing manager and by our licensing partner. All were approved well ahead of schedule.

Events

I wanted to feature The Two Towers Trick-Taking Game at many events this year. I helped to coordinate a small sneak-peek appearance at Gen Con, it made its demo debut at Essen Spiel in Germany, and most recently had a very successful pre-release event at PAXU and across the nation! We worked with ten local games stores to bring the special pre-release of the game to as many fans as possible! We will continue to feature the game at even more conventions after its release early in 2026.
